*) meine deutsche Entsprechung ist eine wohlklingende Annäherung. In "comfortably" liegt auch "beschwerdefrei [von Schmerz], in "numb" auch "taub", "gefühllos", sodaß das englische Wortbild in sozialer Sicht facettenreicher ist.
